Book Review: Hiding In Sunshine

I love reading books! That is what I do whenever I have a spare moment. I normally don't read paper books as I love my e-reader, but this looked interesting, so I read it when I received it the same day. It did start out a little slow, but it picked up to where I couldn't put it down! The characters are more realistic instead of just good or bad. It is written by a father-daughter combo.

Orajel Single Dose Cold Sore Treatment

I received this from Smiley360 to try out and I am being compenstated for my review. Had to get all that out beforehand! :)

This product arrived just in time as my husband is always getting cold sores. He was my test guinea pig! LOL He started using it after he had had the cold sore for a few days and it worked! It says to use this product at the first sign, but I think you can use it later if you happen to forget to pick up some or forgot you had some hiding in your medicine chest!

He was very surprised at how much faster his cold sore went away. I think we have a new Orajel Cold Sore Treatment user.

2 vials come in one package and one is for the treatment of the cold sore that you have and the second vial is for any potential of recurring cold sores or a second outbreak. You only need ONE does to get rid of the cold sore. How neat is that?!?!

Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+

Quaker Real Medleys Apple Walnut Oatmeal+

I received this for free in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox. I was a little leery of trying it as I don't like oatmeal, but this was pretty good!

It is chock full of crunchy walnuts, delicious apples, tasty cranberries, and wholesome multigrains. It is very easy to make, just add water and microwave.

It comes in a convenient, portable package so you can take it with you wherever you go.

It comes in 3 other flavors: Cherry Pistachio, Peach Almond, and Summer Berry. When I go to the store next, I'm going to try the  Summer  Berry!

NYC Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City

I received NYC Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City from Influenster in my Holiday VoxBox. I love using this lipshine! I use it by itself or over my other lip colors as it is a Nude color. It gives my lips a very glossy look that I love.

The NYC Liquid Lipshine has pure pigments in it to give it a 3-D effect that is out of this world glossy. They have tons of other shades that I can't wait to try out.

This lipshine is non-sticky, has a nice scent to it, a flexible applicator and a wonderful price! You can purchase 2 or 3 of these for the price of just one lipstick! The lipshine seems to last forever. I don't have to keep reapplying this like I do other ones.

Overall, this is a wonderful product that you should be using! Well, in my opinion anyway! :)

Kiss Nail Dress

I received these nail stickers in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox. I love leopard/animal prints, so was very excited to get to try these!

They are very easy to put on, but I did have a little bit of a problem trying to figure out what size to choose. They say that they will last up to a week, but one of my nails (the pinky) fell off, but the others were still holding on tight. I was very surprised at this as my hands are almost constantly in water.

They are stickers so you can just peel, apply and shape. They give you everything you need in the box. You do not need nail polish remover to take them off. Just peel off. There was some sticky residue left on my nails, but I just washed my hands a few times and voila! they were beautiful once more! :)

These come in 21 different styles with 28 strips in each package. They don't dry out, so you can save some for later if you like. You can also cut the strips into designs and put over artificial nails or painted nails. My children painted their nails and then cut out designs. They were cute either way you wear them!

Montagne Jeunesse Masques

Montagne Jeunesse Crushed Raspberry Fruit Smoothie Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

I received this in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox and I love it. I've tried several of their products and have liked all of them. I also like the colorful packaging that they come in. Very eye catching.

While using this, I felt pampered and it smelled good too. They only use natural ingredients in all their products and they are suitable for all skin types.

After washing the masque off, my face felt refreshed, cleansed, and softer. I also noted that my big pores were smaller.

These masques are simple to use. For this masque, I had to wash my face, put on masque (wait about 10 minutes), then rinse off. It did get hard on my face, but that is okay. It wasn't uncomfortable.

Goody QuikStyle Half Round Styler

I received this Goody QuikStyle Half Round Styler from Influenster in my Holiday VoxBox. It looked a little weird to me, but I must say that it does work!

It works like a towel and bursh in one. The super absorbent (and antimicrobial) microfiber removes 30% of water from wet hair to help speed up your drying time. After blow drying my hair with this brush, I had no static in my hair. When I just use it to brush my wet hair to let air dry, I still have no static. You can effortlessly detangle right out of the shower and continue using it while you blow dry. This is a very versatile little brush. (I have long hair, to midback, that is layered.)

It does come in a flat paddle if you perfer that, but this made my hair straight when I was blow drying it. I hate the time it takes for me to straighten my hair with the straightner, but this aids in cutting down that time.

You do have to keep it clean though. I clean mine after every use. I take all the hair out and then blow it dry some and shake it. You can also use shampoo on it, but I haven't used it that much yet!

EBOOST from my Influenster Holiday VoxBox

I received this free product of EBOOST from Influenster in my Holiday Vox Box. All opinions are from my personal experience with this product.

I totally agree with these statements. I put a packet into a bottled water and it dissolved quickly and tasted very good! I have always loved Pink Lemonade and this tasted just like it. It was  also fizzy, which is an added bonus. I didn't crash from this like you sometimes do with other energy products.

I think I have found a new way to get energy and extra vitamins! This was an awesome product!

Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012

First off, I would like to thank Influenster for my Holiday VoxBox 2012. I love getting goodies from them as they are useful and awesome.

Here is the list of items I received. They are all the ones in the picture.
     1. Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal - I normally don't eat oatmeal, but wanted to try this as it came in my box and I must say it was pretty good!
     2. NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City - I received this same shade last year and love it. I like the nude color because I can put it over my other lipsticks to give it a nice shine. Very rarely do I wear it alone because you can barely see it, but that is okay!
     3. Kiss Nail Dress - I must say I LOVE the animal print! I am an animal print fanatic and when I received these, I squealed a little bit. I haven't tried these yet, but have used other products by Kiss and I liked them, so I'm going out on a limb here and say that I will like these also! :)
     4.  EBOOST - I am all about getting energy in liquid form. I use all different types of energy/focus powders to add to my water bottles and I loved trying this out. I will say that it worked for me, but I know that everyone is different!
     5. Goody Quikstyle Brush (Paddle or Half Round Styler) - I received the Half Round Styler. I thought it looked kind of funny when I looked at it and wondered how well it would work. Well, it did dry my hair a little bit after towel drying. I'm not a big hair drying fan. I prefer to let my hair dry naturally. Maybe in the future I will use it with my hair dryer and see if it works that way too.
     6. Sole Society Coupon - I haven't used this one yet as it doesn't expire until the end of January 2013 and my birthday is the 20th. I now have an excuse to buy myself some much needed boots!
     7. Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask - I'm not a big face mask kind of girl, but I love these! They come in cool packaging that just make me want to open it and put it on right away, which I did! I loved the scent and how it left my face so soft and smooth.
