Redmond Clay Products Review

This was taken directly from the website Vitacost:

"An Old Home Remedy - Redmond Clay has been used for generations to help support digestive health. For thousands of years, primitive people carried a ball of clay with them in their packs. Some of this clay was dissolved in water and ingested with their meals. Clay was the natural medicine used by the natives for fighting many stomach ailments, dysentery and food infections.

Many years ago, long before the earth knew pollutants of any kind, a range of volcanoes erupted - sending volcanic ash into the water of the ancient Sundance Sea that covered much of North America. The water in this sea evaporated, leaving behind a bed of mineral-rich bentonite clay. Near the small town of Redmond, Utah, we extract this ancient volcanic ash, now resting deep within the earth, and bring it to you in its pure, natural state. Redmond Clay contains more than 50 natural trace minerals essential to human health."

This clay can be taken internally or used externally. I have not taken it internally as I'm a little scared to drink something called clay, but maybe in the future I will try it.

I have  used this externally as a poultice on insect bites, a boil, and a sunburn. It worked on all of them. The insect bites didn't itch after using it. The boil is smaller. And the pain from my sunburn went away. I must say that I am amazed at this product. I love anything that is considered a home-remedy as I do not like taking or  using any type of OTC medication or even a prescribed one for any issues that I may have.

I'm glad I have some left as I got sunburned again yesterday and now I can go put some of this on and go about my day.

I must say that I liked this product. It went on kind of clear, but dried into a brown color. This Mud is ready to use as the clay is already hydrated. It is all natural with no chemicals. It can be used for facials, acne, deep cleanse, remove impurities and tones skin.

I've used this once a week for 2 months and I love how my face feels after using it. It leaves it soft, supple, smooth and toned. It did leave my face a little red as it pulled out all the impurities, but that went away after about an hour. It usually takes me that long just to get dressed and ready to go anywhere, so I don't look too silly with red blotches all over my face!

If you are looking for a Facial Mud, this product is for you!
